Rudolph Cupcake Wrappers (Free Printable)

Well “IT’S” almost here…

Christmas that is and I’m already exhausted. Lots of baking and decorating going on between diapers, feedings, nap times and all the other “joys” of  parenting. But as stressful as it all is, I wouldn’t trade any of it for all the money in the world.

Well enough of all that, lets talk some reindeer….Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to be exact.

And how about him printed on some wonderful cupcake wrappers you can make yourself from home.

For FREE!

The cuteness factor is almost too much!

Like most of my other printables these an be printed on a standard 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. Regular printing paper can be use, but be mindful they will be a bit flimsier. For sturdier wrappers use card stock, which can be purchased at most craft stores.

Just print them, cut them out and attach the ends using a hot glue gun, regular glue or tape if that is what you have.

They will brighten up any display of cupcakes with holiday cheer and possible a few chuckles. I also made a green chevron pattern and a green striped pattern so it won’t be a Rudolph overload.

AND I also made them all in a miniature version for mini cupcakes!!

All the wrappers can be printed from {{HERE}}

And in case you missed it…you can also print out these…

Please enjoy, if you have any questions, please fee free to leave a comment below!!

Editable Fillable Golden Ticket Willy Wonka Birthday Party Decoration

I’m a big proponent that progress….. either small or large, is still measurable movement in the desired t direction of any goal! With that, here I go with one of my first designs I have included using the online design editor Corjl.com. Unlike some of my other editable designs that require the user to downloaded software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Corjl.com is an online editor that does not need to be downloaded by the user.

I personally don’t mind using Adobe software, by all means I pay a ridiculous amount of $$ per month to use it, so I do try to utilize it as much as possible. But to the average person, I can see how it becomes cumbersome and slightly more effort then one initially may have intended.

So a few things I like about using Corjl.com that make me excited to see what else I can so is that..

1-The user Does NOT have to download any software. The editor can be used online and only requires an account signup for use.
2-The user can edit from their phone, tablet or PC. This is a huge change for the better. I get so many complaints from my Etsy customers about not being able to edit from devices, so this is a welcome change!

The original version of this design can be found through my Etsy shop. It has always been a fun addition to all the different Willy Wonka Inspired Party Decorations I offer. But now that it can be edited, online, using multiple devices…it awesome!

There are two different versions. The first allows the user to customize the date, address and time as shown below…

Fillable, Editable Oversized Golden Ticket Decoration

Since I can add variations of the design, I opted to include a version in which all the text could essentially be edited by the user, as shown below…

Fillable, Editable Oversized Golden Ticket Decoration.

The purchaser is able too print as many as they would like to and they can also make changes if they need to. This design is available through my shop HERE. Please note though, that the item is available to use and make changes for only 90 days from purchase after that time period. It would need to be repurchased to make any new changes. But any versions already downloaded would still be available if you saved them to your computer, device, etc.

And I’m sure this goes without saying, all the designs are the intellectual copyrighted artwork of Morgan Powers. It is for personal use ONLY! That means don’t use it and resell it as your own. Because you are a jerk if you do…..sorry, not sorry!

Thanks for stopping by and as always if you need anything further, please reach out to me via my messages via my Etsy shop HERE!!

The Best Funny Moments of Our First Pandemic Summer

As August draws near the end. Hot humid nights are beginning to give way to cooler evenings. Copper toned leaves randomly pepper the yellowed lawn. Subtle signals that Summer of 2020 is drawing to an end, also signaling what should be the upcoming school year, which is normally a fun exciting time, but which by all accounts is nerve wracking, because you know the whole global pandemic thing.

Yes, . The Corona Virus pandemic is still alive and unfortunately thriving, although NY has basically less than 1% infection rate. Most of the daily hub bub of normal or almost like normal activities and living have reappeared. It would appear most things ARE normal, albeit the mask wearing . We have officially have a time frame that marks pre-mask living and post mask living. Weird, but hopefully it is a factor that will continue to help stop the spread……from those that actually use them.

There still is no national strategy to mitigate the virus, many even believe its all a false narrative created by democrats. All I have to comment in regards to that is if anyone can get worldwide organization to collaborate a pandemic. Kudos, they are stellar organizers. Most times getting five people to agree on something is nearly impossible…so there is that!

Overall, my everyday is much the same it was pre-pandemic, although with much more anxiety and uncertainty then I ever experienced. So It’s important to grab the moments that I know will always make me smile. Like the silly times with my Timbuck & Doodle and their funny antics.

Feel free to take a peek to see what keeps us laughing and our levels of sanity in check…..

Day 8 – Nothing Is Normal Anymore

Day 8 into the family self quarantine. We started doing some of the suggested distance learning assignments that some of the kids teachers passed to the parents, until things get sorted. I am keeping my expectations low in the moment and being realistic about any work actually getting done. I have four kids home ages 5-10 and they are not so excited about any school work assigned to be completed at home.

I’m trying to keep it interesting, but I am not organized or consisted enough to embrace colored coded schedules of activities to keep their little minds fresh, engaged and sharp.
There is no afternoon yoga or scheduled exercise, no healthy snacks. It’s me and my four kids contained indoors, if weather permits; getting outside to play a bit and lets not fail to mention, the overwhelming anxiety of all the uncertainties about what in the actual f*ck is occurring.

My sons O/T teacher actualy emailed me this morning to let me know that she would like to continue to keep his O/T schedule up during this time through video. I responded that we could try, but I also made mention Of where my views lie at the moment, if it doesn’t work, I’m not bending over backwards to make it work.
The situation of this global pandemic is not anywhere near the normal that they were living just a week ago and as important as it may feel to try and keep things normal…

THINGS. ARE. NOT. NORMAL.

I believe that part of helping kids learn resiliancy in times of extreme change is to not pretend that things that are happening are not. Making up stories to “protect” their fragile views of the world at large, basically to me feels like a lot of mumble jumble about laying the framework of a belief system that warps reality into a system of denial. I feel like there is no reason to lie to my kids about what is happening and feel that a realistic view of what is occuring is the reality they need to navigate through what life may be in the future as a result of this. I see so many people posting abuou keeping things normal, which to some extent seems absolutley ridiculous. Nothing is normal.

Wait, let me repeat that for those in the back that might have missed that….

THINGS. ARE. NOT. NORMAL. I myself am conducting myself in somewhat of a normal is manner as I go through the motions of daily life, but there is a different tint to life right now it’s a color of experience I have never yet experienced at any level.

Things have changed. Things will continue to change. Who is to say thigs will ever go back to the bubble of normalcy it used to be….but then again maybe it shouldn’t?

There is a part of me that feels like maybe it shouldn’t.

My experience at large has shown me that if you want to see how something functions, put a little pressure on it , create some unexpected variables and observe the effects. Can it be sustained or continue to meet the expectations in a normal fashion? Because if not, then it in most cases it is most likely an illusion. A false idea that serves a sense of safety and security, which doesn’t actually exist in the way it should, when it is desperately needed to do so. For myself and I’m sure I am not alone in this, I feel as though, the idea of this “system” that is supposed to lead us cannot handle the pressure that has been placed upon it.

People are nervous, I’m nervous. I’m not a multi million dollar business. I am a very small home based business with one employee, which also happens to be me. I’m very grateful for the business I get, but I’m still building it and it is not at the level of self sufficient support…yet. Basically, the mortgage does not get paid through my efforts. Although the plans I had, were to achieve a degree of financial stability through my efforts with Mighty Delighty.

I’m concerned how other people are going to weather this storm. I am well aware that I am fortunate or let me be really honest; privileged enough in the way that I am able to ponder and write about my thoughts on all this. I know without a shadow of a doubt there are so many others who do not get to do that, the reality is that there are others that stand to lose so much more then just their peace of mind.

But I digress, at this point in time March 20, 2020. Governor Cumo signs an executive order mandating businesses that rely on in-office personnel to decrease their in-office workforce by 75 percent , with considerations being made to essential service business. The confirmed cases in NY are at 5713 according to WorldoMeter.
I beleive California has issued a stay at home order yesterday, which is mind blowing considering the size of the state.
Four US senators were discovered to have sold stock after a virus briefing back in January, confriming how fundementally broken and dishonest some goverment people can be. Essentailly the argument is that they knew what was coming, failed to inform others and chose to play down the signifigance of the virus and convienently used the information provided to them in regards to the severity of this virus that would take hold of out county soon to cash out to some extent.

It is more than obvious to anyone with a brain (Or is it?) the pandemic isn’t a democratic HOAX. But Trump doing what he always does told his followers at one of those ridiculous ralliesM where he just talks and talks about anything any everything that pops in his mind, seems to keep promoting the divide between us all, to keep us all bikering with each other.

I am ashamed of him as our “ leader”, Im ashamed at the huge rift of discontentment he seems to grow larger in. I can’t fathom or understand how he was given such a platform of power, to essentially drive us all further from each other, continuing to create a state of divisivness. Yes, I am aware that people have a choice to listen to what he says or not.
But it doesn’t make sense, he doesn’t make sense, he is so against anything I thought we as a country stood for.
HIS actions and his many inactions speak louder than any words that fall from his mouth. He is a liar.

Currently the fears are that as this pandemic progresses, the hospitals will not be able to cope with the influx of sick people. I “Hear” that testing is becoming more available, although at the same time it is not. Those in the medical field, on the front lines, DO NOT have the proper supplies or equipment to meet this illness in any way that it would eve be considered fair at all. It’s like they are being set up to just fail.

Those with power to actually help and do something NEED to stand up and take action.

I’m a stay at home mom of four kids, I can keep mys kids home and hope to not contribute to the spread. That is just about all I can do. Keeping ourselves quarantined is not intended to stop the disease, it’s a measure to slow down the spread and infection in order to give us time enough to find, create and discover ways to treat or vaccinate against this virus effectively.

Some days I just don’t understand the dynamics at play. We are told that the US is the most powerful country in the world, we are so wonderful etc. , etc. But yet, in this moments of crisis as we are currently experiencing, those that have the power to do something significant almost seem unable to act accordingly. Most people see what needs to be done and some are doing what they can. But mostly those that want to do more are not in the positions to do so.

Today, I don’t feel very optimistic. I feel uncertain, overwhelmed, pressured in ways I never have experienced before and I feel sad. Just sad. Hopefully something will happen in the next few days to provide me and so many others something to grab onto. Because I feel so deep into the core of my being, this is just the beginning of something that has the capacity to change everything in a way that wil first be messy, dark, and slightly more crazy before any type sanity cam again to become a part of life. Or I’m being very dramatic, which also is very plausible.

Be well ,stay healthy, wash your hands and look forward towards this uncertain future with positive thoughts of a better future for us all.

The New Normal – Day 7 of Self-Quarantine

Corona virus, Covid-19…

Two terms for one virus, that I never in a million years though would be the topic of everything and anything occuring in my daily life or the lives of others, but there it is and here I am.

I’m not even sure why I am writing this or even what to write about. I just know there has been a steady nagging at the edge of my thoughts to start getting all these thoughts swirling in my mind out, which typically results in me writing. As most of the world is already aware, we are in the midst of a globa pandemic.

A. GLOBAL. PANDEMIC.

What in the fuckety, fuck of all things is happening? Like seriously, is this really life right now? Erring on the side of caution, I made the decision to keep my kids home from school as of last Friday. I remember calling the attendance office to report that they would not be attending school that day, nervously laughing informing the woman that answered that “I was being cautiously paranoid.” she responded much in the same way letting me know, “that was quite alright,”

The first I ever even heard of the Corona Virus was back in January, when a friend and I were randomly texting each other about shows on Netflix and I was wondering if they had started to watch Pandemic. It led us to start looking on the World Health Organization website , specifically at the list of diseases and outbreaks in countries. China was listed as having parts of the country quarantined.
We didn’t really pay much mind to that, thinking they got it under control and moved forward with the conversation onto other happenings in our lives that had nothing to do with wha would become the very thing that would effect our own lives in several weeks.

I keep asking myself what am I thinking about this. But before I do that first I think it’s important to state exactly the current state of affairs as they come down the pike. Starting with the first time I really started to realize that this virus, this random thing that was happening to other people in another place , so far from the daily of my own life. Was now here, knocking on my front door to inform me of how my life and the lives of so many others would soon change.

I remeber speaking briefly to my Mother last week around Tuesday or Wednesday, roughly March 10th or 11th, about an upcoming event and if I would be going forward with it due to the Corona Virus. At that point, It was still only something that was happening to other people, somewhere else, so It didn’t faze me to just dismiss the notion that I would be doing anything different than I normally do anytime soon.

But my thinking would soon transform itself into a state of concern as more and more information began to emerge regarding this virus.

On Thursday of last week (March 12, 2020) I received a phone call from someone who informed me that the board of health had stepped in and would begin shutting down many establishments where large groups of people would be gathering in order to try and stop the spread of the corona virus.

I took in this tidbit of information with a sense of indignation, because it felt annoyong, disrupting. I was more concerned that I would not be able to engage in a event that was to happen the follwing weekend This was something that had been carfully crafted and planned over the past year . Feeling frustrated with how things were begining to unravel, I called my Mom, who always seems to be the one I can go to in regards to having a sounding board for my emotions. She has a wonderful ability to help me navigate through the frustration and dissapointments that sometime cloud my ability to think rationally or logicaly about a given situation.

I also called my sister who lives in Broklyn and works in NYC to inform her of the changes and to get her input on what was occuring. I could hear the anxiety that weaved through her words as she told me of the women in her office that were devastated with the news that weddings they had been planning for the past few years would need to be rescheduled to another time sometime in the future, due to the spread if the virus.

This was seven days ago…..seven days and I had no idea of how much would change so rapidly.

On Thursday of last week (March 12, 2020) the Corona Virus was an inconvient idea that I kept hearing about, a topic that began to dominate what I saw on Social media, a subject of converation to be debated about on the news stations. Something people wanted to blame as the fault of others . On Thursday afternoon the Corona Virus was an annoying little blip on the radar of my normal life, but it would be transformed into something else by the time I went to bed that evening.

Overnight a wave of panic had been released into the lives of those in the US. The news was dominated by it, I had spoken to enough people that day, who I trust in that I decided in a span of a few hours that as of Friday March 13, 2020, my kids would not attend school that day. And I would not be sending them back until I had enough information of what the in the actual Fuck was happening.

Today is March 19, 2020 and life as it was once lived has now been postponed. Here are some of the changes that occured in the past 7 days. This is my own account, so I am listings what I became aware of syareted happening locally. There were so many things that transpired in such a short time, that I couldnt include it all.

I’m writing to keep a record for myself. There is info that is not listed, but free to add in the comments and I will update accordingly.
March 13, 2020– Although it’s not the first time its been used, now the term #SocialDistancing is now part of everyday language being encouraged by the news outlets, urged by users of social media and encouraged by most in order to stop the spread of the virus. At this point according to WorldOMeter there are 2247 confirmed cases in the US.
March 13, 2020- School superintendent from our school district send message informing parents of there would be no school Monday the 16th for students. Teachers would still need to attend to discuss how to proceed with what was now occuring. All after school events are cancelled, most outside school activities are now cancelled until further notice. Most parades and other events cancelled.
President Trump declares a National Emergency
March 14, 2020– 2943 confirmed cases in the US
March 15, 2020- County Executive Orders Schools closed for 2 weeks stating March 16-27th.
CDC recommends suspending gatherings of 50 people or more
3680 confirmed cases in the US
March 16, 2020 The Govenor of NY Signs Executive Order to close schools statewide through April 1st. 4663 confirmed US cases. Cumo announced the closing of bars, restaurants (takeout & delivery still allowed) movie theaters and casinos starting at 8 p.m. Monday.
March17, 2020- 6411 confirmed US cases.
March 18, 2020Non essential employees are to now work from home via executive order. People urged to stay home. 9529 confirmed US cases.
March 19, 2020- As of 7:44 pm est there are 13,816 confrimed cases. Within 7 days the numbers went from 2247 to 13,816 and that number is consistantly increasing as more tests are made avaiable.

I’m trying t keep a list of the changes, because my memory doesn’t serve me for the most part, I linked to source if possible, because I’m about facts not lies or spreading of mis-tuth. When this first started, in regards to realizing that this was going to not only change my life, but just about evey person on Earth, I switched to survival mode,

Like most I headed to the crowded foods stores, where I noticed people are still being nice, courteous for the3 most part. But as the days turn into weeks and time goes on, I know that will not be the normal. Shelves are starting to become empty and people are hoarding, while pretending everything is just par for the course, but there is an underlying sense of dread that is enveloping us all, it’s difficult to ignore.

I have had to head out a few times due to having prescriptions to pick up, I was hoping to get them all at one time, but unfortunately some were delayed, so I had to go there three differernt days. Each time, parking lots were emptier, shelves were not restocked, people, myself included have a weird air about them. People are nervous as they should be.

Everyone has an opinion of how this pandedmic has been handles. Some praise the President, some roll their eyes at his incompetance. But for me at this point, as we are about to head into the thick of this all, I just want to be proactive now, for the health and safetly of my family, friends and people in general.

As of last week the biggest issue was that people were not taking this seriously, and why would anyone honestly. The number that were being reported didn’t seem so bad. Until it became general knowledge that there was no way to actually confrim the numbers, because testing was not avaiable or accessible to theose already sick. Most states did not have the tests available so the numbers were grossly under estimated.
It is said that the incubation period is about 2 weeks. Meaning you can be infected and have the potential to infect all the people that you come in contact with, BUT you do not know that you are infected, so go on living your life.

Scary shit, scary times. I’m still in sort of a state of shock and disbelief that something of this magnitude is even occuring, but then there is a deeper, knowing that this is about to get a lot worse before it gets better. I’m doing what I can in order to not fall into that abyss, because there is nothing I can do about all those variables that can’t be controlled.
My kids and I are officially stating home. No playdates, no public spaces. Nothing , with all that can’t be controlled, at least I know that I can prevent the spread, if for somereason we have been unknowingly exposed and infected.

My son has been battling a cold/cough for the past few days. He has no fever and generally is as energetic as usual, but I’m concerned, because no one knows for sure what to really expect. If he presents with a fever at any time, I will take actions to address the situation. But for now, it is what it is. My husband is still working, he is in the constructon industry, so if anything that will be one of the latter to be shut out.

So many scary concerns for what is to come. I hope to be able to write about it, so I have a record of it all.

I f you are reading this, please be well, stay home, practice social distancing, wash yaour hands, don’t touch your face and hope for the best.
